Management Information System (MIS)

The Management Information System (MIS) provides statistics and management information. The key stakeholders are executive entities of the University of Zurich, its faculties and institutes as well as external entities (e.g. Canton of Zurich, Federal Government, media).

The main areas of responsibility are the following:

• Student statistics
• Graduate statistics
• Habilitation statistics
• Appointment statistics
• Lecturer statistics
• Staff statistics
• Calculation of financials
• Financial controlling regarding the Intercantonal University Agreement (IUA)
• KLR survey (cost and performance accounting)
• Maintenance of the Database of organizational units (OrgDB)
